Adult cycling lessons for complete beginners or novices

learn to ride a bike with Wycombe Cycle Training These lessons are designed to help you learn how to ride a bicycle and develop basic bike handling skills. They are tailored to the needs of the participants and take place in an off-road location.

Those who successfully complete the Bike Handling Skills Lesson will have reached the standard required to move on to more advanced private lessons on quiet roads.

Learn to Ride a Bike Lesson - 1hr

This one hour session starts the process of getting complete beginners to roll and pedal their bicycles alone. Our instructors will ensure that participants stay within their comfort zone. Once they get their balance, they go on to learn starting, stopping and steering - time permitting. More sessions may be necessary. Participants must have a helmet and a bicycle in good working order. For the purposes of this class, students should be able to stand flat-footed while mounted on their bikes.

Maximum instructor/pupil ratio = 2:1
Maximum group size = 4

Fees:
1:1 tuition - £30
2:1 tuition - £20 each
Bike Handling Skills Lesson - 2hrs

This two hour lesson is designed to help novice cyclists gain more confidence in properly starting, stopping, turning, changing gear, looking behind and making arm signals. This lesson will suit you if you have just learned to ride or are weak in any of the above-listed skills. Participants must have a helmet and a bicycle in good working order.

Maximum group size = 8

Fees:
1:1 tuition - £60
2:1 tuition - £35 each
3:1 tuition - £25 each
4:1 tuition - £20 each
